Protect your exterior windows and doors with this hardwearing, long-lasting Yacht Varnish that enhances the woods natural colour. A tough traditional finish that protects against the sun and stops the wood from greying. It also resists cracking, peeling and flaking and waterproofs the wood. Available in satin and gloss finishes.

Preparation
Always ensure the surface to be waxed is clean and free from any dust, dirt and grease that may affect adhesion.
- Completely remove any old stain or varnish by sanding with a 120 grit sandpaper.
- Wipe down the surface with white spirit to remove any dust.
- New wood will need to be lightly sanded with a 120 grit sandpaper and cleaned with white spirit.
Application
We recommend performing a test to ensure compatibility with the surface to be varnished, always follow the manufacturer's instructions found on the packaging.
- Stir the varnish thoroughly to ensure a consistent texture and remove any lumps.
- Apply using a brush working in the direction of the wood grain.
- Apply 2-3 coats allowing each coat to dry for 8 hours.
- Before applying the final coat, lightly sand the surface and wipe with white spirit to remove the dust.
- The final coat will be dry in four hours.
Aftercare & Storage
Cleaning
Clean any dirt and grime to keep your windows and doors looking as good as new.
Repair
Sand down any damaged sections to smooth out the damaged sections and apply a couple coats of the Yacht Varnish.
